Ed Begley Jr. Joins Better Call Saul season 2 cast!

Via ew.com: Prepare to meet a big dog named Clifford. Season 2 of Better Call Saul will introduce a key character with that name, and the show’s producers looked Elsewhere to find another comedic actor who also can go dramatic for the role: Ed Begley Jr. The St. Elsewhere alum, six-time Emmy nominee and veteran film actor will guest-star in multiple episodes of the Breaking Bad prequel. The drama that chronicles how Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) became shady lawyer Saul Goodman will feature Begley as an “authority figure who has the power to make many of Jimmy’s dreams come true, if Jimmy can only play ball,” Saul co-creator Peter Gould tells EW. “When you first meet him, he is highly avuncular and somebody whom you’d like to spend time with and is a very sweet guy. But you wouldn’t want to cross him, let’s put it that way.”

Begley, who will make his first appearance in the season 2 premiere on Feb. 15, has been a recurring guest star on the Starz comedy Blunt Talk and popped up occasionally on Portlandia and Arrested Development. He also starred in last year’s short-lived TBS comedy Your Family or Mine. In addition, the famously eco-friendly actor has joined forces again with Christopher Guest (This is Spinal Tap, For Your Consideration, Family Tree) as a cast member of the Guest-directed movie Mascots, which Netflix will release later this yea
